The Rizzo Family Memorial Scholarship

About the Scholarship

The Rizzo Family Memorial Fund will provide scholarships opportunities to outstanding students from Kenosha County dedicated to pursuing health care-related careers.

The fund was established by the Rizzo children in 2020 in memory of their father – Dr. Vincent C. Rizzo, their mother – Mary C. Rizzo, and their uncle – Dr. Michael J. Rizzo.

Dr. Vincent C. Rizzo (photo, center) was a graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and served the community as a Dentist in Kenosha for almost 50 years.

Mary Rizzo (photo, left) was a Registered Nurse who graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing and later went on to further her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her career included working at St. Catherine’s Hospital, Hospitality Manor Nursing Home, and alongside her husband at their dental office.

Dr. Michael J. Rizzo (photo, right) graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and served as a Family Practice Physician at Aurora Medical Center caring for generations of families..

The importance that they placed on education and the love of their chosen careers was obvious to all who knew them – this scholarship fund is dedicated to their commitment to advancing the education of youth committed to health-related careers.
