Background

The Women’s Fund supports programs and organizations that create opportunities for women and children through direct grant and responsive philanthropy.

The fund was started by a group of Kenosha women who are dedicated to improving the well being and quality of life of women and children in Kenosha County.

The fund is open to receiving tax deductible of any amount throughout the year.

An annual fund raising event has been held on a regular basis.

• Girl Scout Council of WI SE - $1,500:  Bonds Beyound Bars
• Lemon Street Gallery - $750:  Summer art program for youth and adults
• Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha - $550: Red Cross Babysitting Course
• Women & Children’s Horizons  - $600:  Latino Legal Aadvocate
• Southeastern WI Area Agency on Aging - $600: Caregiver Training for Women

2007 Grants Awarded from The Women’s Fund

• Kenosha Girls Wrestling - $1,000:  Kenosha Drug Free Wrestling Club
• Lemon Street Gallery - $675:  Summer art program for youth and adults
• Women & Children’s Horizons - $1,000: Resale Shop
• Kenosha Literacy Council - $400: Women Welcoming Women
